Hi Everyone. Hope you have all had a great week! I thought for my next review I would write about my second purchase from Kiehl’s which I purchased along with the Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution previously – you can read my review on this here.
I didn’t used to use eye creams. I thought that a face cream used around the eye area would have been enough. When I received an eye cream as a free sample from Clinique a few years ago, I was hooked. I can’t say if these really made any difference but I enjoyed using them and did feel like they made my under eye area seem brighter. After a couple years of using Clinique, I felt like a change was required. I had my eye on Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado for quite some time (no pun intended haha) and decided when I was going to purchase the Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution that I might as well purchase the eye cream as well and take advantage of the 10% discount.
The cream retails at £26.00 for 14g and comes in a little plastic tub with full details of the contents around the side. The product itself is a lovely creamy, thick texture as the name suggests and feels super thick when dabbed on the eye area. There is no wonder why they suggest to dab and not to drag the skin as it isn’t something that you can sweep on under the eye. There is a slight fragrance to the cream but this isn’t invasive by any means. It doesn’t smell artificial or full of chemicals but more like a product containing natural ingredients.
A major difference I found in wearing this was there was virtually no creasing of foundation or concealer around the eye area. I always thought the slight creasing I did have was due to the little marks I have under my eyes and not the eye cream doing this. I feel like my whole eye area is so much more brighter and hydrated after using Kiehl’s as appose to the Clinique eye creams I was used to.
Overall, I will definitely repurchase this eye cream. The thick consistency feel luxurious and hydrating without an overpowering smell. There is very little creasing when it is applied under makeup which is an added bonus as well.
