October Favourites 2018

Another month is sadly over. I feel like this year has gone so fast and doesn’t seem to be slowing down soon. It has been an eventful year for me and seems like only yesterday I was saying ‘it’ll soon be Christmas’. That was in January! Now November is upon us and everyone is starting to get in to the Christmas spirit. Before we get started on all the wonderful Christmas food and drink, here are the top three things I’ve loved throughout October

Favourite Skin Care

I recently purchased Kiehls Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution. This is a very lightweight serum which I apply under my moisturiser. I’ve been using this for about a week or so and have found the red marks I have on my face from previous breakouts have finally started to fade. I am looking forward to further results as they seem like they could be very promising. i’ll be writing a review on this shortly so watch out for that

Favourite Food

My husband purchased some Baileys ice cream on a whim which I hadn’t seen before. For years I have enjoyed the Haagen Dazs Baileys flavoured ice cream which unfortunately now seems to be seasonal to around the Christmas months. However, Baileys themselves have now brought out an ice cream of their own which has either swirls of chocolate or caramel in. YUM! I have the chocolate flavour and it is delicious! Highly recommend!

Favourite Game

This month has been pretty good for games in our household. Early October we purchased Horizon 4. This time round the game is set in the UK and let me just say, this is amazing. The graphics are the best so far and they have so many sights to see which people in Britain will love. I didn’t really enjoy the last Horizon, I thought they were starting to get a little boring but I couldn’t put this game down until…..

Red Dead Redemption 2. From the makers of GTA, Red Dead Redemption is the GTA of the Wild West. It’s open world and is so vast that I haven’t explored everywhere yet even though I have been playing it since the release on 26th October. I can’t put this game down. There is so much detail in it that I haven’t even started playing the main missions properly yet. I’ve been too busy riding around the country side on my trusty steed, watching live shows at the theatre, playing dominoes, getting drunk… the list goes on and on. I have always loved GTA and Red Dead Redemption but this game is just something else. To be able to have such high quality graphics and be able to travel so far in the game, it’s no wonder that there are two disks in the box and it has taken 8 years to create!
